There's really not much I can do about it, I always go back to them. The other day I watched "The Social Network" - an otherwise fairly boring film - NOT because Trent did the soundtrack, but because Jesse Eisenberg is a declared Ween fan. He's not much into music, not his thing, but he does own each and every Ween album. I had to see it, you see?
These two puppies are taken from the White Pepper Outtakes, a small compilation I have ignored for far too long. I don't know how I managed to skip over "Belvedine" all this time, I really don't. But here it is now. They seem to have had a baroque period at some point, maybe a week or two, but it left its mark. Did you know that "Ice Castles" was supposed to be called "Baroque Jam"? Haha. I mean 'baroque' and 'jam' put together. Ween...Sweeney Todd's got nothing on these guys.
"Wash Me Down" reminds me of "Sarah", slow and tender and shot full of morphine. I don't know how they chose between this and (probably) "She's Your Baby", they're both amazing.
p.s. Do read the tiny writing on those pictures above. The "future plans" part is both hilarious and true.
