Grinderman - Mickey Mouse and the Goodbye Man (live Gasometer 2010)

I don't even know what to say about this concert, that's how cool it was.
Nick was in perfect shape, the vigorous, throat-punching motherfucker whom we know and love. He did, however, seem to have a sour hip and a number of other aches due to jumping and running around at his age. Heh. That's why he played "Palaces of Montezuma" for his Vienna doctor, probably.
Warren kicked just as much ass. Fuck it, if you've ever seen Nick live, in any formula, you know what I'm talking about, I'm just wasting breath here.

Grinderman - Evil

Grinderman 2 is out (or at least I have it, due to illegal download. But I will buy the cd as soon as I get to Vienna for the concert on the 10th. Yay me.)
Although I have been listening to it on repeat at least half of today, I also had to do some work, so I couldn't concentrate. But this song here sounds like what we've all probably been expecting. First glance says this album's at least as good as the other one. More to come. Or not.

GRINDERMAN - Heathen Child

I don't care what you Kings of Leon yuppies and hipsters have to say about Nick Cave, but this ain't no "old-fart" video. This guy gets younger by the album.
I guess Grinderman is Nick's padded room, the one where he gets to throw shit on the walls, bang his skull and eat flies without contradicting the more patriarchal, wise side of his personality reflected in the Bad Seeds. I don't see how this video could have been part of any Bad Seeds album. Not even Murder Ballads.
Oh wait. Judging by the "Babe, I'm on fire" video, this one is actually no big surprise., they go very well together. Oh, fuck it, just watch it already and see for yourselves.
